‘I’VE FINALLY ARRIVED’ – JAPANESE KICKBOXING SUPERSTAR MASAAKI NOIRI SIGNS WITH ONE CHAMPIONSHIP
One of the world’s top kickboxing talents has put pen to paper with ONE Championship.
Japanese superstar Masaaki Noiri – a man widely recognized among the sport’s top pound-for-pound athletes – has officially joined the world’s largest martial arts organization.
A former two-division K-1 World Champion and K-1 Grand Prix Champion, the karate stylist has been a mainstay on the elite international kickboxing scene for well over a decade, and fans are undoubtedly anxious to see him test his skills against ONE’s top-tier strikers.
Beyond his impressive list of accolades in kickboxing, the 30-year-old is also a former WBC Japanese Muay Thai Champion, giving him plenty of potential opponents in both sports.
While he’s found ample success across multiple weight classes throughout his career, Noiri will be competing at 155 pounds in ONE Championship.
He joins a stacked featherweight kickboxing division that includes reigning World Champion Chingiz “Chinga” Allazov, interim titleholder Superbon, and a host of dangerous contenders.
He also joins Takeru “The Natural Born Crusher” Segawa and former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Hiroki Akimoto as Japanese striking stars looking to plant their flag in ONE.
What’s more, Noiri owns a dynamic and explosive style of striking that deserves to be showcased on a global stage. He’s proven to be a supremely dangerous finisher, capable of scoring the knockout with either his hands or feet.
